On Monday the 12th of August, selected Yo-Get-It stores are coming together to celebrate International Youth Day. International Youth Day was created by the UN to raise awareness on the problems and challenges faced by our youth. This year’s theme for International Youth Day is “Transforming education”.  According to the UN ‘there are currently 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10-24  in the world. This is the largest youth population ever’.

You might be wondering how Yo-Get-It fits into all this?

With the large importance of youth-led organisations and with the crucial role education plays in youth development, we would like to help highlight the efforts of our youth. We will be offering a 50% OFF frozen yoghurt for customers with a student I.D card. Education is a power tool for all youth especially in the maturing years of self-awareness, social awareness, good health, employment and many more. Getting an education isn’t always easy, the pressures of getting good grades, adapting to new social groups and facing any issues with time-management can be stressful.
